hey guys...anyone has been there to install pickups or have them do a setup? would like to hear some reviews before going down.

Whats the price range like for the above mentioned services?

yeh i had a setup for one of my guitars and pickup installation done by mike. really nice guy and i would say his work is top notch. if im not wrong i paid about 40-50 range for a full setup not very sure exactly how much but was around there inclusive of a packet of strings as well.
 
Had my guitars setup n pickup installed by him..I made the trip to Woodlands from Tampines just to go there:) Thumbs up to Mike!!
 
Great guy, great service...was just there this morning to fix my DS-1 led. Replacement of pups, pots and switches is like $40-$50 depending on the complexity. Setup is about $40. In the meantime he's more than happy to let you fiddle around with his Timbre guitars...look out for an Epiphone LP he modded to Tesla pups...damn impressive.
 
thanks for all the reviews guys. just got back from mike's shop and i can understand why

Highly recommended and will most probably go back there often...(its close to my place anyway)

PS:Watch out for the dodgy bus 911..it didn't go to the central like it was supposed to and diverted near the reservoir ..had to walk from there to the shop lol
 
Haha take 913 instead! My gf's school is there and I've only realised that standardvalue is so near. Right I shall drag her there next time heh heh.
 
i just came back from standard value. N all i can say is that Mike's services are top notch. His attitude is also v gd. V honest dude too. Highly recommended
 
I went there to get a timbre tele for my nephew (his dad broke his strat).
The service at standardvalue is fantastic and friendly! Definitely will be going there if I need guitar setup or other services...
 
The last time i went was last year nov, when mike's new DS-1 mod jus came out. Glad 2 hear that the place and service hasn't changed. Might be going down soon.
 
The place actually got change... Now got aircon leh, n bigger shop front. NICE

I went to buy new strings n mike help me setup for free!!! Of course i also later buy other things, but he offered to do it b4 i said im gg to buy anything. But pls dont get him do setup everytime ubuy strings lol, support his biz yeah, so he can bring in more gd stuff at affordable prices!!!

I like the timbre tele, too bad no alder wood at present time. Also the strat now comes with maple neck!!! soobs
 
Tesla pickups are pickups from Korea.

Yes SV got the best services so far, mike changing pickups and soldering skill are top notch.
