Selector Switch

You could do that... But a good AB box (not Boss ones) cost about 100 plus...

And you're using slight od on the amp already right? Means if you were to switch from your JH-1 to your chorus...

You're just switching from odx2 to a od+chorus channel right?

Unless I'm mistaken, but you would want your chorus to be a clean channel no?

The AB box will allow you to switch between the 2 effects but it cannot give you a clean sound as you would still need to tap the button on the amp to turn of it's preset od...

If that's the case... Picture this.. You'll have to step on the AB box, then turn around, go to your amp and switch the od off... Isn't it like tapping 2 pedals located at your feet?

I find tapping on 2 pedals easier than having to toggle myself between the pedal and the amp

agreed, save cost. save the 100+ for a new amp IM SELLING A LANEY AHEM AHEM.

but that aside, just save up for another amp. or maybe a pedal with higher gain that'll suit you better so you dont have to do a tap dance plus walk over and swtich to clean channel

yeah dat be better i guess

perhaps can go 4 one of em Marshall AVT series (i think can switchfoot??)

not sure bout buyin a new pedal

bottom line is i simply love the marshall roar

And just personal opinion here... Unless the amp is a Mesa Boogie (now I'm being evil!) I wouldn't use the onboard OD... Rather depend on my pedals to supply the drive.

imo, the marshall mr15cdr's roar not so nice lah dei.

you need the marshall plexi heads, THATS ROAR.

and yes, the avt should be able to footswitch.

but +207598469398258395723569832591619827416 to mesa. BUT WHY DID THEY DISCONTINUE MY FAV NOMAD RANGE

Cuz I think Esden got fed up of people coming into his store to just play around with his Mesa(s) and not buying... And those who really wanted to buy tend to ask for an out of this world discount!

haha!

well, as he said edsen. once upon a time. not so long ago. when people STILL couldnt afford it.

HAHA

dont get a mesa unless youre really realy sure what youre getting yourself into. i wont compare it with a marshall cause its like apple and orange. but its not for everyone, i'll say that much.

Oh and the price puts alot of people off. 2400 for an entry level combo? annyone?

They stopped shipping Mesas into S'pore already... The next nearest location is Jarkarta... My friend was there 2 months ago... Had a hell of a jolly good time "testing" Mesas man...

Got other really good amps too man... Like Fender's Twin Reverb... Or there was this really amp... (Carvin? I think that I tried in Music Theme) Quite steam man the sound...

But what's your budget for your amp?? Now that you're buying one soon

carvin n fender?

i can look it up in their website

how much is e fender goin 4? n u can buy it from swee lee i presume?

Yup! Can get from Swee Lee... Try reading reader's reviews at harmony central lar.. I've only played it once at my friend's place... And I like it! Very "steamy" clean tones! And it sounds great with my pedals too

decisions..decisions..decisions

plenty of choices

i wont b surprised if i ended w/ up e Marshall

lolz

My view: Marshall tends to be a little over-rated at times... Same goes for the others lah... The only way is to test drive lor.
