SD Blackouts

Hi all,

Does anyone know where I can get SD blackouts pickup for the neck? I tried Davis, but they told me to wait for a few months, afterwhich they told me to wait for another few months so I gave up on them. Soundalchemy also does not carry them. If these are the only local distributors, how can I order them online and ship over? Any credible online sources?

Another question I have is that I recently changed my ltd humbucker to a SD blackout at Davis, that is, a passive to active pickup, leaving the neck as the passive stock pick up.. Since then, I thought my guitar sounds a bit weird, especially when I change to the neck pickups and has been getting lots of feedback when I jam or gig. Also, I do not see any power source on the guitar for my blackout pickup.. Can someone pls advise on this? I'm really lost when comes to such technical stuff..

Thanks so much everyone =)

the last time i asked for a pickup to be brought in, i waited for the next shipment.

and it came. 8-)

pardon my ignorance but do they accept down payments for the things that you want to order? I personally believe that is a better way of ordering stuff instead of over/under ordering what people demand. I don't run a business so I might be wrong.

oh dear. im so dumb. didnt see another seperate compartment they created for the battery to power my bridge pickup.. thks for the help guys.

As to my 2nd question, my neck pickup sounds a bit distorted since i changed my passive bridge pickup to the active blackouts. doesnt have the nice clean sound it used to have. Is it due to the fact that my bridge is active and my neck is passive? or is it due to some other causes?

active units churn out higher ouputs, they don't stay clean very well. even in clean mode, if you hvae too much volume, it'sll start to crack up 8-)
