Just an update.
I've received a reply from the Children's Cancer Foundation.
And somehow I think she might have misinterpereted what I've said.
But anyhow, here it is:
Hi Guthrie
Thanks very much for your enthusiasm. We appreciate all the innovative ideas that we can get to send our messages to the youths.
We are wondering if you are free to join Miss Jamie Tham, our Public Education Officer on Monday, 5 March at 12 noon to visit Kheng Cheng Primary. Address is 15 Lorong 3, Toa Payoh. She will be there to organise a talk on childhood cancer with Pri 4, 5 and 6 students. My suggestion is for you to observe her talk at this school assembly and proposed how the band music element can be added in. Your choice of songs as I am sure the School need to screen through before allowing CCF to come in with a Band! I am not sure if Schools will allow band to come in during assembly and how much time you need to move the music instruments to the Schools. Fyi, the timing is given by the School, we cannot choose and we have to make sure you have enough 'credible' band players to go about.
Guthrie, pls take note that for fundraising activities, we are not keen on the band idea as there's too much logistics and overhead cost / expenses that will drain the funds that we raised through ticket sales. So, we are not keen to pursue having your band as a channel to raise fund. Hope you understand the many layers of police permit application, auditing required by the Authorities.
Pls share your thoughts and confirm your attendance to Kheng Cheng Primary. Many thanks.
Best regards,
Betty Lee
