Scales and stuff

Hi, I'm kind of new and I'm still in the middle of scaling. I memorized pentatonics both minor and major and I think I wanna move on, which scale is important next? what should I learn after? what genres can follow up the scales I learn and why are scales separated in majors and minors?

Am, C Major (Which is the same thing but start on different root). After that, every key of those scales. Bm, Cm, Dm and etc.

Hey Syade, its important to note that the Major & Minor Pentatonic scales essentially contains the same notes, except that the root note is different. Try looking the topic 'Root Note' up in the internet and see if you can grasp the theory.
Genre wise, it can be safely said that the Pentatonic is useable in basically every genre (rock, blues, pop, jazz, hokkien...)
Anything else beyond that, I'd say get your Major & Natural Minor scales down and post another thread to ask what to do next, haha!

Play on,

once u get bored with scales just map out the chords into arpeggios and memorise them for all chords and depending on whether u're into the 7 modal system or the CAGED system, memorise all the shapes for each chord in each mode or whatever the CAGED system ppl call it.
