save me!!! The nut for strap has fallen off..

I think the inner wood to screw the screw in has lost it's shape that's why~!

yeah just press a button and off comes the strap. its really easy.

the thing is, since u lost the nut, just get a straplock. the straplock comes with the nut itself already. thats what i meant by kill 2 birds with one stone

i cant rmb dude. but can be found easily. dunlop straplocks. maybe 30-40 bucks? my estimate. correct me if i'm wrong please

duct tape will fall off again. Bigger screws will make the hole bigger thus making future changes difficult. even if you were to use straplocks, they should be using the same screw size if i'm not mistaken.

the best way is to send to a shop to do. they would most likely use wood filler + wood glue, wait for it to dry and drill a new hole so that the screw can be tight again.

Beez uses one very unique method to do such a repair as compared to other shops that I've been to. good or bad up to you to decide

i can do it for you...
i've got plenty of wood filler and wood glue left over from my last project. plus i got all the stuff needed already...

yes. use a screw about the same size with slightly bigger threads since your hole is out of shape, no use if u get the same screw size it won't thread. the larger threads will cut into the wood. i think wood filler even if dry, is not even as strong as real wood, it will slip out in no time. if u wan to spend money, send it to a guitar repairman, and ask for a 2 year non slip warranty.

shouldnt cost u more than a couple of bucks...if u got other jobs to do, some techs might even do the glue job for free..

for DIY: buy some wood glue from a hardware store,put some wood dust in there and voila!


For cheap and good solution:
Use a matchstick. Break off the end that catches fire and put the rest of the stick into the strap hole. then screw the nut in. the threading will stick to the matchstick. problem solved.
