Santa Cruz bridge reglue

Bridge was lifting at the back on this Santa Cruz. In my experience hide glue is not the best glue in our humid climate and again a routine bridge reglue job is required.

The surfaces are cleaned meticulously till no hide glue is left. It it then clamped in place.

The following day, the final bits of glue 'squeeze-out' is removed and the guitar is in perfect order again.

Hi KC,

Do you make a caul for underneath the soundboard?
So what glue did you use?
Epoxy / Yellow / White PVA glue?

Thanks!

Yes, I have caul. Glue is white glue from LMI.

KC

You really know your stuff and don't short change your customers.
LMI white glue dries hard (which is good for bridge repair)
I do know of some repair guys who use epoxy to make work easier but essentially almost irreversible.
Cheers!
