Brief Description:
Always liked a Stingray but found the upper-mids too harsh? Wanted more than one pickup in one but didn't want to blow the budget? Can't get much lower action without losing punch and getting rattly? Well this bass is the answer. Its got one of the best onboard preamps I ever played. When bypassed theres no discernible volume difference between active and passive. The treble knob when boosted only boosts very high frequencies for slap, and when cut, it functions like a passive tone knob (lower frequencies, wider range). Amazing. The bass and mid knobs are natural sounding when turned, very useful.
Please know that the bass is made in Germany by very meticulous hands and plays like butter. This is a no-nonsense bass waiting for the right person to pick it up and make some real music. It's reasonably light weight, no issues with balance either. Go wild with it. No deadspots, sustain issues, fretbuzz etc. Nearly in new condition, gigged only a few times.
