Hi again guys. Just want to know does the Epiphone SG G-400 faded uses the same pickups as a Les paul standard ? the Alnico Classic Humbuckers. Thanks a bunch:)

based on fact sheets, the answer is no, sadly :(

Cost-wise, it's a bit more logical to buy the G-400 over the LP Classic, if they both have Gibson pickups. But in this world, you get what you pay. Not to say that Epiphones are bad/lousy or what, hope you get what i mean :)

Sometimes it's also a case of which pickup sounds better to you. Brand doesn't quite matter.

Hey threadstarter,

You are asking about Epiphone G-400 compared to Epiphone Les Paul right, not Gibson? If this is the case, they are having different pickups as you can see from the Epiphone website.

hollowman did make a good point. +1

Sorry, i made such a mistake. I thought of Gibson straight away when i saw Les Paul. Now it's more logical to compare Epi SG to an Epi LP.

Epi vs Gibson is a no-brainer, depending on situations...

It's okay bro. I thought of Gibson too when I saw Les Paul. Just checking with the threadstarter about his query.
