Was looking at it and on ibanez webbie it says the s470 has a wizard II neck and the rg320 has a wizard II neck as well but i tried out both in person and the S470's neck felt much wider than the rg320??

Should be the same... ;)

The Warlord (pm him) has recently purchase a S470... he loves it... ask him abt it...

how does the s470 compare to the sz520? i love a solid punchy fat tone but would like to give trems a try..

The S520 doesn't have a middle single coil.. which makes it slightly less versatile than the S470... And this year, its way overpriced...

I'd say go for the S470... its more bang for buck.

Anyway, the S series has a punchy tone.... but fat? No... don't expect les paul fatness... its got good thickness for a thin guitar and thats it.

Btw, I have a 2002 S520EX...

hey shredcow i meant the sz520/sz320 -- sz series not s series  pmed you abt it already yea =)

Oops. :)

If you want a trem, get the S series, otherwise, go SZ.

Personally, I dislike the SZ... or Les Pauls for that matter... sound too overly fat for me and I feel that versatility isn't there esp with cleans or trying to get a snappy tone.. Anyway, the S series has a trem and some have a middle single... its more versatile. :)

the SZ are different offerings, compared to the RG/ S-series. i love it because it's an Ibanez removed from the latter shadows. maybe that's the reason i own 2 of them. hmm...
