rubina joe satriani

A masterpiece for sure.
But am i the only one who doesnt like his tone? I feel that he can sound so much more soulful with an organic tone.

think his tone is ok, just don't like his pick tapping..sounds wierd, the tone..many ppl underestimate joe cos he's one of the less 'intense' shredders but that's what i like about him, nice slow melodic playing with moments of shred..

Not a big fan of his tone either but his phrasing is a killer! I remember reading somewhere that Satch didn't mean to record this song, that it was only a jam with the band. and the bagpipe solo is totally improptu.

Edit: I just realised the vid is not Rubina's Blue sky happiness :?

My turn, my turn!

Tampines!

I'm not a big fan of Satch's tone though... I miss his older playing style and I would prefer he stuck to it. Yes, I like it when people think (more) out of the box.

settle in heaven
let his notes rain down upon us

melodic and a natural healer.

ok crap.
