Heheh, anyone seen one of those yet? Well i did. At Guitar Workshop behind Art Friend. It gave me so much GAS i stank. Beautifuly tight grains, i haven't seen it on anyone's Tele yet, but what a sight it'll be. I'm a sucker for Quilted Maple or Koa tops, imagine how that would look like with this beautfiul pickguard! ;)
I didn't get around to measuring it, but it looked like a Fender Tele kind of pickguard. Eleven holes, but again, i didn't get to measure it, it was in a glass case. Beautifuly beautiful. For those who are like me, suckers for wood finishes, i recommend it as your pickguard for your wooden/nat finish tele. It's really a beautifuly piece and i'm not sure how they got it, where they got it, and maybe it'll never come again. I'll be getting mine soon!

I am in no way related to Guitar Workshop, except as a customer full of GAS for their hardware.
Oh yeah, sorry for the wrong spelling of pickguard on the title. I typed too fast without checking, sorry lads.

Dan Music also has one .. and the music (CD) shop in B1 excelsior too ... few places has em I think ...

I saw at Guitar Gallery and Guitar workshop.
Bro eieio, price for Tele is 50, at Guitar Gallery also.
Price for strat is 65, i'm so gonna get that next week...
Beautiful piece.

is it made of pure wood?
cos i have one in my start, its plastic with a laminated sticker which looks like wood.

It is pure wood i think. Maybe it's just a Rosewood top like 3 ply. But i don't think so, too thin for that. Plus at 65 bucks, they better give more than a bloody piece of scrap wood...

There are some ebay stores which have them as well, but stay away from the one doing inlaid pickguards, inlaid acoustic guitars and stuff. If I'm not wrong it's a taiwanese ebay store. Quite a few bad reviews from that one about substandard wood which cracked or warped.

This store looks not bad though, they'll do custom orders as well and have a proper website with lots of customer pictures. Price is quite reasonable as well

They have Goncalo Alves pickguards! GAS GAS GAS. And it's very reasonable. But after conversion and shipping i think it might be around the same price range of 60 dollars.

i've ordered from woodguarden, which mero's mentioned. He's quite okay. I emailed a PDF outline (vector-based) of N1 backplates, and he gave a quote. After agreeing to pricing, waited for nearly two weeks... then he sent a pic of the finished plates (as below). paid through PayPal, he shipped the next day, and i got it a week later. Hassle-free transaction but a bit slow. quite happy with the backplates, measurement's are spot-on.

I'm looking to try christophertonewood.com next, sent them a custom strat-style pickguard template for a quote but no reply yet. Might go for sapele :)
