Rookie lookin for Black Panther

Hey guys... I play the drums by ear and have been ignorant bout specs of a snare drum and I kinda know only the sound I'm looking for and it seems that the Chad Smith Signature or Black Panther Black Widow or Blade are the ones I'm eying for...

basically, I know where to get Chad Smith's but I think for it's price, the BP kinda look more worth it, right? Does anyone know where to get it? Another question is... this may sound stupid, can I actually try the snares in the shops? youTUbe and all is just isn't justifying...

...haha but where did you get Black Panther from? I'm looking for a new piece or at least a mint second hand.

Hey Rendy, Guitar 77 is the new shop selling Mapex drums, they got some awesome black panthers there, i dunno whether u can try it but u can see it first hand how great the snare looks!

Thanks guys.... DCturbo, which BP did you end up getting? since you were also looking for Chad Smith, I reckon we have somewhat similar taste. From the sound clips, I'm torn between Black Widow, Blade and now... Velvetone... LOL... I hope I can try them out.

Was looking at either BW or Blade ... Then I had a Kungfu special edition thrown my way and couldn't refuse the offer .... Ended up with that instead . The BW is really wicked!!! Get that if u love e sound ... Blade's great too... Heck, get both if u have the moolah ....
