Rookie guitar player - 5 months

LadyinTears you gotta leearn to be nicer to the newbies man.

Anyway, some guitars you can take a look out for:

the TIMBRE STRAT (eh it impressed me ok! that's a tall order)

Squiers are not really great, but not horrendous to the extent you mentioned.

CORT - These guitars play FARRR better than whatever shit you can get for the
price their sold at (they sell cheap too)

Hamer- Pretty decent for their price.

Also, go around guitar connection at peninsula, good deals are ALL OVER THE PLACE THERE. Look for Kelvin, great guy!

Pass the ibanez gio series, not worth the price.

Leroyisme, with your budget you really got very little choice. However, I suggest u don't just listen to people. Get out of your comfort zone. Get a friend who has experience about guitars and amps to go with you to any good music shop and test out their arrays of guitars and amps. You may be surprised that even the latest China made ones within your budget are fantastic.

Take a personal interest in the touch, sound, action etc of the equipment you want to buy within your budget. Don't just rely on armchair advice; they can go off tangent by a mile and you will be no better of it from the start.

Good luck to your search bro.
