Roland sustain pedal users

Anyone here changed the jack on their sustain pedals before? Models like the DP2 and PS 25 come with a straight jack and it's taking too much space on my pedalboard (i'm using it as a tap tempo). And i don't want to risk cutting it up and not being able to replace it. Thanks in advance.

it's just a standard TS 1/4" plug right? all u need to know is the polarity of the terminals. so when u change to an angled head just make sure the terminals are wired the same polarity and u'll be fine.
