Roland Distribution

Hey guys,

I was wondering whether any of you guys would know how long it takes Roland to open distribution of their new products to the rest of the world.

I'm currently thinking of getting the Roland GR-55GK online (since it's a new product and it's probably going to retail in Singapore for a ridiculous price) and I'm finding it quite difficult to do place an order since most of the sites that have the product in stock don't ship to Singapore. Those which do, say that the manufacturer has limited the distribution of the said product within the U.S. and Canada, etc.

My last resort is vPOST, and last last resort is to get someone who can buy it for me.

So, any of you guys have any experiences to share in getting something that hasn't been opened to Asia Pacific distribution?

You can try dropping David from Blackwood an email. I ordered a Dimarzio pickup from him at the start of the year as it was not available here and basically what he did for me was to purchase it from one of the online stores and they will ship to one of his addresses in the US and he will ship it to singapore. I got it for more than $50 bucks cheaper when I ordered from him.
