rich/poor drummers? read here!

Lol i actually have a friend whose mother learns drums. 8O

My mum was against me drumming cuz she thought drumming is not for girls as well, but i recently proved her wrong when there was this feature on a female singer playing drums on channel U. Dunno who that is though. I was telling my mum, "See, even such a demure singer plays drums, what gives any reason why a tomboy like me shouldnt play drums?!"
 
Bro bro_hobbyist...what lah got workshop never ask me to go - I not youth meh har (young at heart) ? ...... rla, reuben myself we waiting until neck long long liao - everytime you got workshop neber ask us har?
 
No lah... this group of teenagers very shy one... all just beginners... don't want to frighten them with you all around or else they don't want to persue drumming... there is one workshop coming on with around your age one... will invite few of you along... 8)
 
I use to improvice a self-made drum pad with those thick mouse pads. They have this plastic thing on the top where the mouse sits, but the part that is good for playing is the underside. Paste it on a piece of plank and u got urself a drum pad.

I just practice a lot of stick control exercises until I could afford a practice kit.

no drumset? actually without a drumset its much better to learn.i usually practice my drums at my friends jamming studio...only on certain days..
but i prefer tyin 2 phonebooks to my forearms(one on each forearm) and doing double strokes on the pillows...try it..maybe it works..
