Yo, brothers, can anyone tell me their experiences about the Rhythm Tech "Ribbon Crashers"? I might want to get one. So i need an informed choice.
Preferably i need its characteristics, its uses, anywhere can get cheap cheap?

Thanks all.

i wanted to order one online in the past but decided not to after i played one myself. in fact it doesn't quite sound like the stuff you hear in recordings. it's like a very very short attack with zero sustain, kinda like a choked cymbal stack (if u can imagine that).

it would be useful as a quirky accent i guess, just doesn't apply to me musically right now. although last time i tried, i must say that it sounded pretty good if you whack it hard, coz that's when the thing rattles.

i see it being used quite regularly in drum and bass as an alternative hihat or an accent device, like splash cymbals. i've also seen the drummer from MUSE use it in a way akin to a half open hihat.

Ah MUSE. Dominic Howard. yea of course. He sorta inspired me to get one of those. Just not too sure on the relevancy of this equipment. Yea, thanks again.

this piece of instrument is interesting....
personally havant heard of the sound yet, but wud certainly like to try out..
and see if it fits to my playing.. hahahah
