Hello fellow drummers!
Just thought of introducing to you guys this fairly new drum company called Respira Collective if you haven't heard about them yet. Basically, Respira Collective is a Christian-based drum company that mainly does custom snare drums. They have also put together a full kit for Morgan Wright from I, The Breather (http://www.youtube.com/user/ithebreather#p/u/9/12Bq3jrQ3rw) but I'm not sure if they take in orders for full kits yet.
What really caught my attention was how beautiful the snares were. They provide wood burn designs and also writings in the inside of the drums! I think this really makes the drums stand out even from other custom drum companies and it makes the snare look really unique and personalised. Im also loving the look and design of the trick throw-off and the dogtag-like Respira logo on the drums. From what the Respira website states, the snares seem to be reasonably priced and the upgrading of hoops and such seems to be cheaper than other custom drum companies, correct me if I'm wrong. Also, if you're a charity kind of guy, you'll be happy to know that a portion of the profits will go into one of their charity works or one of your charity choice! In a way, you're paying for a customized snare and at the same time still contributing to the needy!
Adding on, the owner of Respira Collective, Liz, is a really nice person. Mailed her just yesterday and I got a reply today. She's a really humble and friendly person and there's no "no-business-no-talk" kinda thing. Whether you're enquiring about drums, need spiritual advice/prayers or just looking for a chat, she'll be more than happy to talk to you!
