I think SL is the only place in Sg that brings in Remo. U might need to make special order.

Anyway, do they do that for customers?

Thats gonna cost heaps! The kit on its own is almost at the 1000 dollar mark....before shipping costs that is.

I think if its the 'real' feel tomken is trying to find, I would rather he use the same amount of money to purchase an actual kit. After years of experimentation, the best way to convert a real drum kit into a quiet practice set is by filling it up with tontine. The only problem is that tontine is really hard to find in singapore. So I had to buy some square "throw" cushions from Spotlite and used them to fill up my drums. For the smaller toms where one cushion maybe too big, I tore up one pillow and repack the tontine into smaller zip-lock bags. Remember to fill up the drums to only 70-80%. Because you'll kill the drums feel 100% if the tontine or pillow touches the batter head.

This way, the drums still retain some resonance (very little) and tone and you're hitting actual drum skins rather than rubber. Give it a try!

Haha...sorry man. I've been really busy running around teaching in our local primary, secondary schools and some JCs....the public school sector can get really busy....but I'm cutting down some starting next month....I really wanted to get back to my own stuff....

You should read up on "Band Performance Studies" in the music lab website (www.themusiclab.com.sg). It is by far the most practical and useful class found in Singapore....the workshops with roy and kim chye is to promote that.
