hey guys;

What brand of mixing console (live sound & recording) and reocording interface is more reliable in every possible aspect?? and Y?

Hv u guys try any of it?

i hv tried a few mixers and recording interface before.... juz wana see what u guys think

:wink:

Why dont you try the Alesis Firemix which is both a 16ch mixer AND a firewire interface......

Firewire on it's own, try the presonus one...firepod I think.

Ichiro, which are the ones you tried? Can share with us your thoughts on them?

some of the mixing console i used are... behringer eurodesk mx 9000, mackie 1642vlx pro( but it's a older model).... and 2 other manual console... can't remember the name...

as for recording interfaces, i hv tried protools HD 192 Digital I/O, MBOX, Digi 002 factory, digi Dcommand Tactile worksurface

most of them work fine... onli the behringer is giving lost of prob....

if i were to choose, i will work using the digi Dcommand Tactile worksurface, as for the EQ and stuff i will use protool's EQ.... coz that's one of the most amazing stuff i used before...(onli for recording)

What about the Mackie Firewire capable Onyx? Or the Alesis Multimix 16 firewire? I think those are live mixers which can double up as a recording interface.

mixers

If you are recording bands, go for analog consoles. Mackie is good and steady and affordable. Erm try to stay away from behringer.

For Live Mixing, I think the Midas work just right for me. Never fail me a single times. :) as for recording, anything console except behringer, Phonic, Mackie or those dodgy brands made in china. :)

U can try soundcraft product for mixer and lexicon omega studio for recording interface. I use lexicon so far not so bad only the level is not high enough..:)
