Recording help

Need some help here on recording. I'm currently trying to use Cool edit pro 2.0. Can anyone here guide me haha, I'm totally lost. Or is there any other software that is much easier to use

i got that program too. took me quite a while to download it but havent really tried it out yet.

Okay, what I want to do is basically use the drum and bass tracks from guitar pro, then record my guitar thru mic. I want to hear my guitar while recording as well so I can hear how does it sound after recording and how it mixes with the drums and all
