Recording bass guitar with a SM57??

Glad it worked out. But do note that kick mics will only register lower frequencies mainly below 5kHz.. so if you need to get that slap sound in your mix, you'd still need to get that SM57 up in middle of your speaker cone to record the attack. Or you'd just get bass rumble that might clash with your bass guitar frequencies in the mix. Enjoy!

blueprintstudios... even in pro studios here I see people making that same mistake man. especially with mics that have the power switch on them like C1000S. But ok lah well thought of since you can load them with 9V batteries to save lugging phantom mixers. Nice mp3 tracks dude.
