Hi.
As topic. could you guys introduce some pedals that one would need for starters?
playing rock and stuffs.

:D thanks

Marshall Jackhammer. Though I don't have it but the reviews seem to be good. You can get 2nd hand here for around $40. Danelectro pedals too. I have the Fish n Chips eq and I find it to be quite good. Other "food" series seems to have good reviews too..Can read Harmony Central users review. I always do that before going for certain stuff.

i'd second the marshall jackhammer. for its price and versitality, its definately worth.

i'd choose this over a stock ds-1 anytime.

Marshall Jackhammer for the price and sound. Ur dist. pedal. Danelectro Grilled Cheese for booster. Danelectro Fish & Chips EQ for EQ adjustment. Boss CS-3 for compressor and sustainer. Boss XT-2 if u can lavish a bit. Very nice tones frm this pedal. Ibanez DE7 delay/echo pedal. Jim Dunlop Cryababy CB535Q Wah pedal. And to top it off, Boss FV50H volume pedal.

and if u want to experiment playing with a wah, try the behringer wah pedal.. its only 75 bucks i think... and its good for the price... be gentle with it though.

if u've got more $$ to blow, then there're a 101 wah pedals for u to choose from... haven't really tried a wide variety so i can't give good suggestions on them.

i do know however, that they're mostly categorised as vintage voiced or modern voiced...

i'll go with shredcow..get a multieffect..for example a korg one or a zoom one..u can play around with lots of effect..see which style u are going more into..den u can buy indivudual pedals for it..if u wanna get better multi effects u can also tap yr experience from here..see what extra controls u need...

if you're new to the effects world, i'd recommend you get a multifx. tt way you'll get an idea of wat different effects and modulations there are. frm there you can have an idea of wat you like and what you dont. then once you know wat sound you wanna get, go for individual pedals

same, my advice would also be getting multi FX, the affordable yet GOOD enuf to satisfy ur need is KORG multi FX .. try going for KORG AX1500 but better to go for KORG AX3000, i dont advice u to go for BOSS GT-8, and POD XT live, cuz its much more expensive, 2nd it will make ur head burst trying to get a good tone ... imagine there is SOOOO many KNOBS.... honestly i can't even save my preset in my friends GT-8 (is not that im stupid but i try it for 30 mins and cant figure out how to save it)

the multi efx they recommending you are really ex...can try Zoom G1 or G2 or Korg's equivalent,,can't remember thir name...can look and read about them at thier respective website...Zoom ones are below $200

Yup....I had a KORG ax-1500g before i moved to boss'.....It's a good stuff for a starter...to me...I'm just unsatisfied with the wah....But, the rest is fine...eventhough not fantastic....anyway....one of my friend is selling his GFX-5 for 200...interested just pm me....hahaha....sorry for the wrong place ad

uh i would liek to noe how to differentiate a worthy multi efx.
or rather how will it fits mi?

yeah im interested in the AX1500 as well
:D
cant find any second hand though
ahahas

where can i get the Zoom G2.1u? its aroudn 200+ ?

its a digital right? im a noob, so i dont really mind digital/analog for now.

i've been playing for more than a year now,

just wanna clarify,

thats the difference between analogs and digitals.

like any distinct difference?

are dere any more recommended multi efx? XD
pls post.
thx!

Boss ME-50. Very decent sound for starters. Relatively affordable (new=$450) all-in-1 unit. Has the feel of using stomp boxes.

For effects, ie. delay, chorus etc. you can get away with using a multi efx without sounding too bad. the Zoom G2.1 will suffice for that.

However for distortion and overdrive, it's best to go analog cause you would want your picking dynamics to really show through. And picking dynamics = the often heard phrase "tone is from the fingers"

So. Sansamp Gt-2 or tri-ac gets my vote. Not exactly a distortion unit but more of an analog amp emulator. Almost impossible to outgrow and will last you a long long time til you get spoilt by certain bootek pedals.
