*Good cleans- available
*blues crunch- a healthy presence
*intense distortion- definitely available

my recommended tube combo- thumbs up! :smt023

Haven't really heard much reviews about Randall amps. How are they? Tried to search it here but not much mention of the Randalls.

when i tried the above Randall @ G77, Beez hooked it up to a 2X12 cab & the depth was rather impressive, got me hooked...

will review it in time to come- too good not too 8)

do u want inbuilt effects or just plain and simple?

anything, i dun mind...its just that i want to narrow down my trials on amps...coz y'know,i cnt be testing each and everyone of the amps in guitar stores...they always give me a face..

how much is that Randall?
urmm and will it be too loud? coz i live in a HDB flat..

i live in this hole-in-the-wall unit too, otherwise known as an HDB flat unit of course. this doesn't deter me from getting:

Alot of raves about that PB everywhere. Next most talked about would prolly be the Epi valve jr, with all the mods and stuff.

Maybe one day can demo the PB somewhere and hear how is it. Planning to get a good amp this year (one of my new year resolutions. lol)

yea same here. actually i was wondering which is a better option. to get a combo amp or get the powerblock+cabinet kind of setup..

sub.. would u consider getting a tube head for that cabinet that ur PB is resting on?

Hmm, not neccessary to get a tube amp in order to obtain great tones.

I really dig the cleans from a Roland Jazz Chorus 120.

loldude333 how does the sound drive rank up against similar wattage amps such as the peavey bandit II 112?

In terms of features, go to the website and look them up. In terms of sound, it simply owns. Very versatiel tones from this one. U jus gotta go try it out urself, i can't really describe it here. But trust me, u'll be GASing 4 it after trying, unless ur a very discerning tone connoiseur who's very fussy abt his tone. P.S Referring to the Sound Drive SG-612R.

Haha I need something to upgrade from my smarvo 40 watts 112. Very bright amp that one and not enough depth/headroom.

But have another guitar to acquire first 8)
