Hi all.
need to know what pickups (bridge) for tele can give that cutting edge, versatile sound but still retains its twangness?
the current pickup that the telecaster i have is a bit weak.
but its still okay.
Hot rails is a no for me.
Pls give me your feedback guys.
I play different types of music such as indie/hard rock/experimental/funk/jazz/screamo.
Yeah.
i saw the SD website.
Lots of ranges from hot stack/little 59/hotrails/Alcino II pro.
Just need ur comments, opinions and feedbacks.
Thx alot guys!

try dimarzios rail pickups..i've got a tonezone T..full on it sounds great for chords and lead work..split manages to retain decent twang..you can try out the new air norton T which looks very promising..

hmm im using emg T ..quite happy with it..
no complains..although i might sell it ..and get a hotrail in the near future..

you can't have a compromise man. its either powerfoooo lead tone, high output. or low output, shitloads of twang but NOT powerfoo enough for solo.

Splitting is shit, volume drop sounds horrible, far too thin, and with the lovely 60's cycle hum.

so my advice, just get any twin blade humbuckers la, i've the chopper in my bridge. At least still sound not so bad on clean channel...little bit twang la

Go for the Seymour Duncan Jerry Donahue. Lose a little twang, gain more mids, still very much tele like, and not harsh so u can throw more gain on with your pedals or amp.

low output units can do solos very well. if you think it lacks kick, that's when a booster pedal comes in, especially this one (designed for best results with single coils):

in my opinion a hotter wound pup seems to 'designate' your tone and dynamics for you, it also tests your touch. low output pups seems to be more accomodating. they are also great for leads. alot of people also gets turn off immediately about the fact that they are of lower output, so hence lesser 'power'. go try out pair of high and low output pups to decide for yourself. lower output pups sounds sweeter to me.
