Hi Guitar experts,
could you please do me a favour, I need some recommendations from you.

I am actually looking for a guitar with the following specs:

- mid-range and above price, but capped at SGD$1500
- must be H-S-H guitar,
- 25 1/2 scale,
- fixed, or 2-point fulcrum trem (ala wilkinson VS100G)
- 22 frets (medium/jumbo)
- body wood preferably alder, but open nevertheless

please, thank you guys. cheers!

Ibanez S Series seems to be the only thing I have in mind.

If you can sacrifice the middle pickup (I know, it must be H-S-H like you say, but you can consider this?), get the JS Series. JS100 costs 900.

I believe there are still some Ibanez Ergodyne series which you can look out for in Bras Basah Sweelee. Agathis body, I can't remember the bridge. 22 fretter with H-S-H. Costs around 600?

I say go with the S series.

the PRS SE Std isn't HSH, but there are some split coil options to appease single coil fans.

from the ibanez range, guitars sporting a 2-point fulcrum vibrato bridge would be the SA series but none of which are HSH. but IMO a pickup swap (to make it an HSH) is worth the hassle. i have the SA260 in mind:

does 2 point fulcrum includes Floyd Rose Type bridge ?
get used ones lah
i use to see many ibanez Prestige going around that price in mint condition.

How about Ibanez JS1000 (Satriani Signature model)? Dont know whether you can get that with $1.5k or probably get a used one......

U cld try schecters, solid guitars with great tone. I'm kinda tiring over recommending Ibanez guitars to ppl. I always recommend the same one :p. No offence to Ibanez fans out there, i am a true-blue one too. Hmmmmm...........its a bit hard........if u dun mind H-H w/ coilsplit, i say a Schecter Omen 6. TOM w/ stringthru, jus install coilsplit and ur ready to roll. Basswood body and at only $360++ at Luther or G77. In fact, with ur budget, get 2 of 'em and with the remaining cash mod them like crazy to get the tone u want.
