Recommend me a beginner guitar!

Had my sights set on the Yamaha FG700S but it seems to be sold out everywhere. Someone recommended Alvarez AD30 saying it's as good as the Yamaha. Can't find many reviews on the AD30 though the reviews I found were all positive. Budget about $250-$350. Any one have experience with the AD30? Or and recommendations? Thanks!

Beginner here. Going for guitar lessons after getting one.

Maybe you should take a look at the 2nd hand market.
Epiphone, Rally and squier are worth the bucks.
You should be able to get a epiphone les paul standard on the 2nd hand market with $350.

Better buy a inexpensive guitar to try out first.
See whether you like it or not.
Then you can advance to a better one once you've mastered the pre-requiste guitar drills/skills!

2nd Hand Taylor Gs Mini.. I started with one and sold off and upgraded to a better guitar. Sometimes it better to start with resell able guitar.

With a budget of $350, you can get a few things. Do check out the starter packs sold at places like Davis and SV Guitars. Aside from the guitar, you'll get a case, a tuner, a few picks, and maybe even an instructional DVD!

Can never go far wrong with a yamaha, buy on here second hand, and sell when you get better.

Second hand offers value. But do note some old guitars may have developed problems, and the seller may/may not inform u. Eg. warped neck, frets end gap, sharp fret, etc. Just get a experienced friend to help out.
