Recommend a TELE-esque/type/copy guitar

Hey, I'm currently looking for a Tele. Aside from the usual fender and squier brands, what other manufacturers have Tele type guitars in their production? I dont mind those that have crap pickups, cause i'm gonna swap them out for dimarzio's anyway.

IMO for tele type Fender alternatives, i still hold the Squier in high regards, especially the California series...

Where can I get the Cali series aside from Swee Lee?

the Cali models have a thinner finish for the maple neck; you can almost feel the bare wood.

the cali strat is easier to find than the tele..Try music theme

I would love the strat if it wasnt for the middle pup. It's just a hinderence when i play. Ouh well to me at least.

Actually, It just occurred to me.. Have you ever considered a Musicman Axis? The MM90 ones would have the single coil capacity you might like.

Davis used to sell Samick Telecasters, wanted to get one during my poor student days..but i thnk they are discontinued..scour the second hand market to try your luck

actually.. besides sweelee and ebenex, does any other shop have an entire range of squire guitars? i want something lower end... was eyeing the thinline tele... from squire, yes! and also, squire has this "masterbuild" series... and cali series arent featured in their website...
anyone has info on the masterbuild series? their teles look good.. threadstarter may be interested 8)
