Re-stringing my bass

Am going to re-string my bass for the 1st time. Where can I get Sadowsky strings ( or any other recommendations) and what gauge would you guys recommend?

Heavier strings mean thicker, louder and bigger tone, but it is also more taxing on your fingers.

Have you decided on flats or rounds? I'm using Sadowsky flats and I'm very happy with them.

if you restring with different gauge, likely the truss rod needs to be adjusted. if you dont know how to do it, may as well get the guitar shop to restring and re-setup the bass for you.
