RE: New Acoustic guitar. HELP!

Hi everyone,

i hav a classical guitar and is self learning. i know how to play most chords including power cords. Not an absolute beginner. Now i want to get an acoustic guitar. Preferably a mid range... many recommended me Ibanez. And, i found Seagull quite attractive too... but some say our singapore humidity too high for Seagull... Any1 can recommend any guitars from ibanez or any assurance into getting a Seagull? Any other brands wan to recommend oso can. i will check them out... thanks! oh and my budget is around 400-600 after discounts are whatsoever (GSS! lol) and also it will hlp to tell me which place is ideal for getting it haha!

Regards,
Ultimax

check out maestro or zen guitarwerkz.. get a maestro acoustic.. they sound awesome, and use quality parts.. and they are made in singapore!! support local products!! :)

c'mon, not only maestro...

wat i recommend u is to try other brands also. with ur budget, u can get a solid top, even with preamps built in.

Ibanez is also quite a gd choice, especially the PF60SCE.
Maybe takamine, fina, custom acoustic and cort...

haha. thanks guys, but never realli heard of maestro. i mean i know its local but isit comparable to ibanez or corts or takamine? any1 can do a comparison? haha. thank you!

you must go and try all sexy. which is the best for u.
But Cheers to Maestro! dun buy frm christophore or whatever(dunno how to spell) Very expensive

I recommend that with ur budget of 400-600,get Takamine.I own one.hehehe.still,buying guitar is about feel.all the best!:)

i got the feel playing this ibanez solid top at swee lee $700+. damn the neck, the default action the arghgh donoe its just the feel, though i not a fan of ibanez electrics.

haha, checked out maestro and takamine le. maestro the ED-2 sold out LOL. i tink the video on youtube did the job pretty well =/

im nt sure... maestro looks tempting as so many ppl on the forums are talking and recommending it... but is it realli as good as it seems to be? haha. damn scared buy wrong guitar...

Maestro ED-2 is a favourite :) I own one!

From what I've heard, Maestro guitars are built for Singapore's humid condition. Taylor and all that angmoh brand are good but may not last in this climate. I dunno if this is true, can somebody help clarify?

But no matter what, you should try out all sorts of guitar to see which one suits you. Keep searching!

Try different Maestro models, they've got quite a wide range to choose from, especially at that budget. I'd expect Maestros to have better features and build quality than Takamines at that price range. Higher-end Takamines are a different matter altogether.
