So, I was able to try it out in Blackwood Guitars hours ago with these pedals. Thanks to the guys there in the store who were very helpful and accommodating in checking out any pedals they have. In fact, they will be the one to offer for you to try the pedal! This is what I call true customer service!!!
Moving forward, tried the CB on Vox AC30 with Fender strat... clean sound is totally awesome as to what to expect in a VOX AC30. Stepped on the Crunchbox at all the knobs at noon and the sound is rich and full... lots of gain on tap.. This is for gain freaks.. Fender's single coil made it sound so big. When I'm about to leave, I then saw a RAT II sitting (I assume it's the newer version).. stepped on it... and WOW! The chords are more full... open...can do Blues lead to full out ROCK! Gain is also acceptable. Filter really is something... though setting it @ 9 o'clock is too trebley for my taste. So 12 to 2 o'clock I think is where it should be set. Now I'm confused which is which...
Now, which do you think is better in terms of just regular rock sound. I mostly play church songs and sometimes Incubus... old 90's rock sounds..
