raising the action and checking for warps

how do i raise the action of my guitar or check for neck warps? and how do i rectify fret buzz?

There are articles on the web on this, just do a search. Whereas, you sound like you need a setup. This normally you need to pay a professional to do it for you, could be a better choice. Or you can risk further damaging your guitar if you trial and error. If you break or jam the truss rod, it will be as good as throwing the neck away on low to mid priced guitars.

A good place to get a setup done is at excelsior basement shop, the one opposite davis guitar, guitar connection. Tip, go during off peak hours, less customers means you get more attention.

i want to raise the string level because ive played on a guitar with quite a high action for the past 2 years and have gotten used to it, yea i know where the shops are but thought that i would do it myself if it was simple, what do i tell the guys at gc? and roughly how much will it cost?
