1. If I buy a set of 3 pickups, total cost of 400. Would I be liable for GST even though technicaly it is 3 items?
2. What other ways are there to avoid it? Seperate packaging, marking the price on the reciept lower, sending as a gift?

Thanks,

I hope you did read this page

1. Yes. The GST applies to the value of the whole shipment, not indivdual items.
2. Yes, you will avoid GST if you ship seperately and each shipment is owrth less than 40 each. However, the additional cost of shipping individually may cost more than the GST amount you are trying to avoid. Underdelcaring the value is considered fraud and many sellers, be they retail or personal, will not stoop that low. It will also screw up your insurance claim, if anything happens to the shipment. And as clearly stated on the Customs page, GST will be charged on gift items as well.

There is a 7% Goods and Services Tax (GST) levied on all goods, inclusive of new articles, personal effects, souvenirs, gifts, food preparations and dutiable products, imported into Singapore

In the end, you are only saving 28 bucks. Is it worth the trouble you are getting yourself into?
