Questions regarding cables

I've been using some cheapo cables ard($8-$12) for quite sometime already.
It's just 2 cables..

Usual setup...
Guitar > Pod X3Live > Computer (if i'm at home playing. this setup uses 1 cable only though since i use earpiece)
or
Guitar > Pod X3Live > In-House Speakers/PA System

I'm contemplating on whether to change the cables and if it really does make a difference...especially for multi-effects board.

Any of you care to share your experience?
Also, advice me on some decent & good cables (including the cost)

An $8 cable is not going to sound much different from a $20 one.

However, you're probably gona get better shielding and insulation
or better stress relief at the jacks when you go up a tier. Which I would
recommend if you're you're gigging.


On a different note,
There are audible differences between a $20 cable and a $100++ cable.
However to justify spending that much more for that difference if solely up to the user.

I like Tone Drive cables. Cheap and good. Standard Value / SV guitars carries them.

how much are tone drive cables? whats the characteristics of it

$15-20 depending what length (10ft or 20ft) you're looking for. Not sure about the technical parts, though. More info here:

I've performed with mine. No issues with noise at all. Even with high-gain. And my noisegate on my MFX was always kept off because I don't want it robbing my tone.
