Questions on Pick Ups n a distortion pedals

hmmm point taken. thanx sub i'll look around for awhile and also fiddle with my rig's settings......if all else fails then im back to the forum calling for help hahaha

Speaking of which, I would like your opinions on a warm, sweet, smooth pickup for an RG1550 neck? Preferably Seymour Duncan.

The Invader is crap there. For me, anyway.

Sounds like the excessive midrange and bass is taking it's toll. Don't tell me it sounds muddy. Cos if it does, it's gotta suck..

I like the Invader(bridge) in a strat, kinda balances the brightness and all the low end. I always had the feeling that the Invader would suck bad on the neck, something about it that always made me feel that it was made to be a bridge pickup. Maybe you could try Duncan Distortion.

Yea, the Invader sounds much nicer in the bridge of a strat. The Tom Delonge one for example. Though classified as a punk rockers guitar, I admit i did enjoy chugging some heavier rhythm tunes with it.

hi mr beruk,
I would recommend breed in the neck ...
i heard they r ok...
im not sure the combination with tone zone...

btw...so far i`ve not really heard neck pickup that gots lots of balls...
the neck pick mean to be mello imo...

im using paf pro in the neck and i think its ok...no complains..
anyway i feel that dimarzio pickups sounds alike...depends on ur set up..
and style ...

im switching to duncan ....

Oh ok. That response explains a lot. I did warn you about it though :D You should really have dumped the JB flipped the wrong way in the neck, and the invader in the bridge.

But I AM glad I put the JB in the bridge. Perhaps I'll put something ELSE in the neck. Perhaps a Jazz or Custom Custom?

If you put a custom custom in there you're gonna get the same effect man. You'll definitely run the risk of muddiness with the custom custom in the neck. Why don't you just go with what all the other hard rockers use, the classic tried and tested 59 JB combo?

Thanx for all the suggestions guys...will be deciding as soon as i can try out the pickups on some other guitars.....

As for the distortion pedal....where can i try one of the Tech 21 Sansamp GT2, or the TRI A.C.? Any other pedal suggestions?

Hey.. I have a Squire telecaster wif S-H pickup system... which pickups do u think i shud use.. i wan something with more bite something like guns n roses style...
