Questions about Guitar Wood .

Hi .. i wanted to know ... what is the diffrence between wood for the body and for the neck too ... there is bass wood maple wood .. and ash all that stuff ... how i know which one is better ... like fender neck is what wood ... and also ... does it make any diffrence?
