Question about the bass amp

Used a laney bass before.. Quite good. I thk got make in different country tt's why got big price differences.
Saw it sold quite cheap at swee lee sale last time. If not there is one opp luther but more ex.
hmm better than rocktron loh.
regards,

..

for what purpose? there are sooo many kinds of amps... i presume that you're getting it for home practice. just get a simple 10-20W will do lah.

peavey microbass is a killer with good tone. was comparing it once at swee lee to a small laney which seemed to have more features.. even a limiter! but peavey won it flat.

good tone at good price. if i started bass all over agin i'd be sure to get that.

there's a few laney bass cabs on sale at sweelee for $400+, but imho, ampeg still the best :) using an ampeg ba-115 for use at home and small gigs, it's good stuff man. well worth the $$

I give a +1 for the peavey microbass.... Solid boom. for its size.. makan others man..

115 watts is kinda huge for home use but i do like ampeg though. ive heard a lot of good reviews about ampeg. is there a smaller practice amp for ampeg? around 25 watts to 40 watts? where can i get it and how much for?

there's a 30w model i think. can't rem whether its' 30 or 50. might as well pay a bit more get 100w :)

music plaza. upwards of $500

$850 takes a PRETTY long time for me to save man. hahaha. i'll stick with my crate BT15....for now. haahhaha.

but i think ti's worth it la really

i can see it down the raod 20 years from now
and you can sell it if you dont want to use it anymore too..great piece of equip

I use a peavey microbass, ok lah.
I now uses amp modeller and hear it through headphone.

Got Ampeg, GK, SWR and etc. More versatile. The BDI21 can also produce a Ampeg SVT sound.

I agree that home use no need to big watts. Only use vol1-1.5 for my 20 Watts amp but now use amp modeller more.

Cheers,

how come you're hearing your bass sounds through headphones? the sound quality turns out poor and funny sounding. i dont like it one bit lah and im not using lousy headphones! audio technica. not that good but not lousy too.

Bro you must hear from my headphone and you will be surprise of the sound it's coming out.

Btw My is norm earphone. If quality not nice I wun recommend lah. haha

For amp modeller if you need to go into effect loop so that you wun hear your current amp's character. I use earphone to get the pure sound of the amp modeller. You can get this sound from a monitor or bass amp with effect loop.

Plus if you practise at nite wun disturb pple mah.

Cheers,

Ben

Okay .. i think i've got a question to ask you guys .. do you guys turn the knobs all the way up to get the sound out? Cos i know of fellas who do that .. they turn the bass EQ knob all the way out expecting to get a "warm, round" sound.
