Question about pick up

Hi guys, i have an Yahama FG-413 and would like to install a pickup for it at Peninsular Plaza and they're charging around $50. Is it advisible for me to do so or should i just upgrade to another guitar with a pickup ? Thanks !

it depends on wether u love ur current guitar or not, how much the base cost of it is, and wether the sound of the pickup is worth the money. heck, actually, if u love ur guitar, just stick the pickup in it and have fun, lol. u might end up with a guitar u dont like but with a pickup in it if u upgrade, so...

yeah well, the guitar cost about $400+ and yep i sorta like it alot.. i mean, would it be advisable for me to do it technically ? would it cause like, well.. how to say.. degradation or something like that ? cuz they're cutting the guitar to fit the pickup in right ?

well, 400 is pretty pricey to just chuck aside. and since u like it, stick with it?
about the cutting and degration part, i would think it wont *degrade* but then again, who knows. best would be to actually lug the baby to a reputable shop and get it done. u might wanna look at soundhole pickups, those dont require hacking a hole i think an example would be LRBaggs' M1 i think. best for u to actually search around as thoroughly as possible.

maybe check out the guitar shop at parklane,level 4.maybe they charge lower...
