Question about pedal placements.

I currently own a tube preamp and TL-2 metal distortion.
But looking to get a Beta Aivin noise gate next week and analog delay pedal.(probably a carbon copy after CNY)

Can anyone give some advice on how to place these pedals?

I'm thinking of either

Amp->tube preamp->delay->noise gate->distortion->guitar

or

Amp->delay->tube preamp->noise gate->distortion->guitar

The tube preamp i'm using is a custom made clone of this:

Guitar > Preamp > Distortion > Delay > Noise Gate > Amp.

if theres effect loop in the amp, put the tube preamp in the effect loop.

by running the tube preamp in the effect chain, its being used like a pedal and still going into the preamp of the amp eventually.

For some, it might be issue of over colouring the sound with preamp on preamp.

imho, just try and hear which one sound ok the most to the one using the gear

Thanks guys! Atm using an amp w/o an effects loop so i guess il go with jskadiang's setup until i get a better amp.
