question about edrum and bass pedal.

thanks guys do u guys think alesis is good? cos im buying it at 1.2k plus ironcobra twin pedals which add up to around 1.6k. worth it?

just read the dm5 pro kit's review on rhythm mag.

not too sure about alesis' drum module, but it says here that it offers 21 kits and comprises of 500-odd sounds, so that's a plus for me cos i like to play around the sounds a lot.

the rack looks pretty sturdy. make sure you secure the kick pad to your carpet or sth if not it's gonna shift around quite a bit, especially since you're gonna be double-pedaling. when i first saw the picture of the kit, i thought, "Wah, all got mesh heads.". turns out they're not mesh heads but plastic heads, and they similar to mesh heads, apparently. i like the fact that the toms are allowed to be tensioned as well. for the td-3kw, only the snare's tension can be adjusted.

i dont like the hi-hat, which is similar to the td-3kw's. i'd prefer the td-20k's hihat, where a real hi-hat is replicated with 2 cymbal pads. more natural. i like!

aint sure what's the market price of the dm5 pro here in singapore but 1.6k sure is a lot cheaper than getting a roland, got double pedals somemore. heh. give us a nice review when you get it!

i don't like the hi-hat too... sometimes the pedal like not responsive [esp. when i first got it. i was so not use to it !] jeepers, our hi-hat cannot replace with the td-12 or 20 hi-hat right ?

ya i absolutely hate the hi hat but no choice la. and nope both the VH-11 and VH-12 not compatible with the i think. but i heard all roland pads can be used with any roland drum module though. you can try emailing roland and ask. either the VH-11 or VH-12 would prolly too expensive anyway.

and pm-ed you about the CY-6 pad.

check it out . and nope. the reason is because the bottom has a input as well as the top .. so our's onli have one input for the hi-hat .. so can't .. argh .. prolly we should just get used to it .. hahahahas and i am already quite used to it liao .. lol .. anyway ethan, u getting the alessi ?
