there r bands like F**k on the beach, himsa, Xmorning afterX and maybe even since by man who sound pretty damn metal but they still consider their music punk. anyway its just a name for all these genre. if its gd music, then all is gd.

and btw, punk songs doesnt really mean they need to be 2-3mins long. ive heard some pretty long epic sounding hardcore punk before.

:lol: there is already Punk Metal..traditionally called "Crossover Thrash". Ever heard of "Punk Goes Metal"? Thats the new wave of this crossover..the first "Punk Metal" bands rose during the 80s. Fusion with Thrash..Bands like Wehrmacht, Nuclear Assault, & The Accused. Nowadays u may refer to A7X as Punk Metal
