PRS Student Edition?

So i was looking at the PRS SE Custom the other day.

Can this compete with other good guitars of that price range? (Schecter & Ibanez)

Or is this really just a mediocre guitar with a nice name!

One more thing. Can these guitars play metal?

good guitars for the price. nothing really fancy or special in my opinion. well, except for the paul allender model, thats a good one.

yup they definitely are good guitars for their price. think they are produced in the same factory as the higher end ibanez models and stuff.

i own one and i really like the tone of it, more than the edwards that is almost twice its price =x but its all subjective i suppose haha.

Honestly, any guitar can play metal. It just a matter of preference.

PRS SE are good guitars for the price you'll be paying. But there are tons of guitars in that price range that are equally good. Really up to your personal preference.

I think Kerplunk182 pretty much cleared the metal part.
