now there's even more use for that guitarbud prs are selling. basically turns ur iphone to a headphone amp and a practise-with-songs tool and a tuner.

There are quite a few guitar apps for the iphone. Most of them pretty similiar to this... USD$10 for it like kinda not worth it....
i would love to make my iphone into a device like the amplug though. That i will buy!

the only app i could find on the app store is irock and thats us$17 without the tuner and phrase trainer.

can direct me to more guitar amp sims on the apple appstore? i must be blind @_@

Too bad i'm on a 3GS with the new bootrom so "tethered" jailbreak for me which can be a downer sometimes but of course there's more pro's than cons. Still waiting for an untethered JB but i dont think geohot will make one anytime soon. only glimpse of a hope is for greenpo1son by the dev team. crossing fingers... How about u bro?

For those who have not or do not dare to jailbreak cause it might void the precious iphone's warranty, Come visit the darkside soon and you'll see what a piece of junk a stock iphone really is..

If the stock iPhone is a piece of junk, I must be damned cuz I'm in love with my 3GS! What are the cons to this tethered jailbreak? I dont even know what tethered is!

ahhhh tethered jailbreak is like a temporary jailbreak, if your batt dies or something you'll be left with a recovery mode iphone, so basically, a really risky jailbreak.

i have 2 play toys, one a first gen itouch, and the other a 3gs.
my 3gs is running blackrain RC3 as well, and like you said tethered, and it has unfortunately died on me alot of times, so my jailbreaking fun is done on my itouch. I did a china iphone jailbreak on my itouch and i think it's the best jailbreak ever, i get a task manager to monitor my programmes, and it even warns me when im lacking in memory, furthermore it has a built in appstore..... hahahhaha

If you love your stock iphone, you will want to marry your iphone and write your will for it after you jailbreak it. hehe . juz kidding bro ;)

I think some of the contents of jailbreaking i cant say here. it might be against forum rules. but hey, give it a google. There's a lot of jailbreaking content to be found on the web.

I explain jailbreaking in simple terms:
You get to fully maximize the functionality of the iphone that apple does not want you to. Mainly due to $$$ reasons cause i cant think of anything else.

No punn to those who are on a stock iphone. I just think there's a better iphone to be discovered if people gave it a chance and not worry about warranty issues. I jailbroke my iphone 2 hours later after walking out from the shop.

But...

it has its own 'appstore' if you get what i mean hahahaha
 
ok so the prs prog only available for jailbroken phones?

i may try it, but what can go wrong? also, i'm not exactly a very tech savvy person and i use itunes alot - would this be a bad idea to jb?

you will still be able to purchse apps from the appstore even if you are jailbroken. You will still need itunes and operations basically is still the same except that you do not update you iphone via itunes if you are jailbroken. Its the same and more.
