hey folks, wonder who has this prob with his or her edge pro bridge..

when i pull on it it goes wayy sharp and when i dive it goes wayy flat and wont return to normal tuning.

now how are you guys trems set up? cuz i read at jemsite that the bridge shd be setup to be at a negative angle (back of bridge lower than than of the pivot)

anyone care to help? oh i'm using a ibanez rg2660 btw =) tanks folks!

oh and it's set up with 10.s if that helps

it's set up with 10.s if that helps?

you mean someone set it up for you, or you just replaced the strings wth 10's?
check the 2 trem screws, or it might be that the springs do not match your String tension.

thats what im guessigng, but i dont use trem guitars~
hope that helps.

as in it was set up by someone with 10.s

and as for speing not matching string tension, would adding more springs help? or?

i've also read that it could be the nut pads that have worn out, any way to change em? or do i have to bite the bullet and get a whole new trem?

hmm and this only occurs when i really depress the bar like all the way till strings are floppy. but isnt that what a floyed is for? unless i'm gravly mistaken. hmm man i'm confused ..

help help!

Yeah adding springs should help but you would have to loosen the screws at the back but dont do that yet, better wait till someone that actually owns a Edge come and solve it for you :)

If you watch the Kahler vs Floyd comparison, i remember readign that even the floyd at some point before he actually did soemthing to it did not return all the way back up to pitch.

For the Edge Pro, the bridge should be set up LEVEL / FLAT. Not at a "negative" angle. Since its at a neg angle, loosen springs (trem claw has 2 screws, loosen both the same amount of turns) and tighten strings still the trem is level. You're a smart guy - you'll understand when you see it. (I'm not kidding)

Are the strings? Old? If not, then when you installed the new strings, did you stretch them properly? Its also possible to have damaged strings.

If you're at your wits' end, then just change a set.

And... yes, the Edge Pro is stable. You should not be experiencing those issues.

AzNjT, which part of the video? i don't recall seeing/reading that...
