Problems with line6 floor pod plus

Hey guys, i'm posing a couple of question with regards to my multi-fx pedal line6 floor pod plus. Basically, it sounds weird and doesnt respond well to my amp(marshall mg15cdr). Ok, heard that the mg15cdr aint exactly a pedal friendly amp but yea.

the first and major problem is that when i use any amp model, regardless of with drive or not..the sound coming out of the amp is always very trebly. more trebly than the eq settings on my floor pod plus is set at. well i think the problems can be attributed to 1) lousy cable (one of them aint gold plated) 2) my amp is damaged 3) the settings are not right...which brings me to my next point.

the floor pod plus has this "cab tuning" mode...the only suggestions are
a: closed back (ideal for 4x12)
b: open back (ideal for 1x12)
c: open back (1x12 or 2x12)
d: closed back (4x12)

the problem is that mine isn't even a cab of that nature
also, there is a "direct" switch for pa systems..i somehow find that to sound nicer and actually get more clarity out of it...however..it seems to make the sound even more trebly.

the line6 website support section is so limited and very little info for the floor pod plus...user manuals not detailed enough...
so yea guys...need abit of help...really frustrated man

i leave everything at 12 o'clock for my amp...however..just came upon this article about a flat setting being 0 for both treble and bass and full for mids.

I dunno if your pod has this, but try the following:

1)Look for a power amp sim thing something like Combo Power amp, Stack Power amp thingy at the output settings, if theres this feature, try setting it to the direct mode instead or try the others that suit your liking.

2)If there isn't the feature in (1), try plugging the output of your pod to the CD/MP3 in of your amp.

3)Adjust microphone sim if there's any.

it has this amp/direct switch which has some like mic-ing up simulation kinda thing..but interesting suggestion..i'll try it.thanks alot!
