Problem with using amp with speaker.

Hello softies. I often like to play guitar along with my mp3s, and since my amp can make use of stereo input, most of the time I will plug my mp3 player into my amp. Since guitar amps don't reproduce songs that nicely, I often plug my amp into my speaker, and that where the problem is. Whenever I plugmy amp into the speaker, there's this weird buzz sound. I'm guessing the guitar pups are picking up signals from the speaker? This only happens when I plug into the speaker, when I use my amp as the speaker everything works well (except the poor sound quality). Anyone knows the cause and solution of this problem?

Edit:
My amp is Roland MicroCube RX
My speaker is a Logitech one...forgot the series.., it has an iPod dock on it (but the dock's not functional)

I don't understand what you mean.
How many speakers do you have?
What amp are you using?

What speaker are you using?

Exactly...stop doin that. :)
I believe your ext. speaker is active with it's own preamp.
Plug your MP3 to an external speaker and play your guitar along with the amp.
