Pro Tools 8 settings

Hi guys, i have a scenario which i need help upon with. kindly advice thanks. any help would be greatly appreciated.

i've a recording of an electric guitar by hanging the mic of the amp itself. however this results in the recording having the sounds of constant flicking of the guitar strings. is that any alternatives/suggestions for post production, or is it best to do a re-take?

What is causing the 'constant flicking'? Is it the player or the guitar?

sounds like strumming mic bleed. position the amp way away away from the mic as much as possible.

Pro Tools setting? Hmmm ... try looking for the preset "Guitar String DeFlicker"
