Surprise surprise!
Seems like McDonald's, which is like the most aggressive in terms of marketing, is at the bottom! Hahahaha!!
Why do you think this is so?
Is it because they don't change their menus that much?
Is it because their service sucks?
Is it because their food is expensive?
I've got one funny personal story to tell.
That day (about 3am actually), I suddenly had a craving for fastfood while doing some research on the net, and so proceeded down to a McDonald's outlet near my home in the west. At the counter, I noticed that the pipe in music was too loud, and near me there was a bloke who was trying to speak on his handphone over the loud music.
So, I politely asked them whether they can lower down the volume a bit.
"Excuse me, can lower the radio? Customer complaining!" shouted one auntie staff across the counter at the direction of the office.
I proceeded to my seat with my MacBook.
Noticing nothing changed, I went back after finishing my drink and food, and ordered another drink and told another staff at the counter. This time she went to the office and came back and told me the volume was the lowest they could go. I smiled helplessly and went back to my seat and carried on with my research.
In like twenty minutes, I couldn't tolerate it and I tore off some pieces off the napkin and stuck them into earlobes and carried on with my work.
At about 6am, I saw one char bor managress walking to the toilet and she saw me with my stoopid DIY earmuffs and then voila! The piped in music volume was lowered down considerably!
Incensed with their lack of honesty, I can lodged in a complaint via their website and got a call from them and somebody apologised verbally on the phone. The next day, I think the managress tried to call me but I didnt answer and when I did answer on Deepaval eve, she was trying to find out what really happened but I said I was busy and said I'd call her back. I didn't though.
So, what do you think I should do? I scared if I go back there, I'd have to check my burger patties for any 'funny stuff', since I think they can recognise me and I used to go there a lot leh.
I don't care lah if they were sincere in apologising (which I think they weren't, just following up on instructions) and I wasn't expecting a lifetime free supply of milkshakes.
But I think somebody should teach them a lesson and tell them that McDonald's can certainly do much better. Personally, I think the quality of their food has deteriorated immensely. Like made half-heartedly like that.
Seriously...
