E EugeneSmasher New member Apr 1, 2009 #2 I think it is a marketing strategy to give you the idea that the pedal's supposed to sound like a valvestate amplifier's distortion channel (if it is a distortion pedal) because most people prefer valvestate amplifier distortion to pedal distortion.
